Programme Analyst – Governance and Social Cohesion

About the role

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Jordan is seeking a Programme Analyst to support its Governance and Social Cohesion Pillar. The analyst will work closely with government agencies, civil society, development partners and UN entities to advance inclusive governance, rule of law and peace‑building initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing, implementing and monitoring projects that promote social cohesion, civic engagement and accountable governance.
• Provide evidence‑based analysis to inform policy making and programme innovation aligned with the Country Programme Document and the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.
• Facilitate cross‑sectoral collaboration and partnership building with national and sub‑national stakeholders.
• Support knowledge generation, documentation and policy dialogue at national and sub‑national levels.
• Work under the guidance of the Programme Manager/DRR and contribute to the overall objectives of the Governance and Social Cohesion Pillar.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background and experience in programme analysis, governance or social development.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and coordinate with diverse partners.
