Project Site Engineer - Solar PV

About the role

Philadelphia Solar, a solar energy company manufacturing photovoltaic modules and solar mounting structures, is looking for a Project Site Engineer to join its team in Jordan. The engineer supervises on-site activities, coordinates project execution and ensures solar installations are completed safely, efficiently and in line with approved designs, quality standards and schedules. The position is full-time and on-site at project locations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily site activities for solar PV installation projects.
• Ensure installation works comply with approved engineering drawings, technical specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, technicians, suppliers and project management teams.
• Monitor progress, spot potential delays and support corrective actions.
• Inspect sites and verify the quality of installation works.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and company procedures.
• Support installation, testing and commissioning of solar PV systems.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, site documentation and technical updates.
• Assist with material planning, resource allocation and site logistics.
• Identify and resolve technical and operational issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2-5 years of experience in site engineering, project execution or construction supervision.
• Experience in solar PV, renewable energy or EPC projects is highly preferred.
• Ability to work on project sites and travel within Jordan as required.
• Good command of English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications and installation procedures.
• Familiarity with project scheduling, site coordination and quality control.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards for construction and electrical installation sites.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is an advantage.
