QA Lead

About the role

Equiti is seeking an experienced QA Lead to own and drive quality initiatives for its critical trading and fintech platforms. Based in Amman, you will lead a small team of QA engineers, ensuring that quality is embedded throughout the product lifecycle from design to production.

Key responsibilities

• Own the QA charter for one or more product areas, covering functional, integration, regression, automation, and production‑readiness testing.
• Lead, manage, and mentor a QA team of 3–4 engineers.
• Define test strategy, test plans, release validation approach, and risk‑based testing priorities.
• Partner closely with engineering, product, program, business, data, support, and operations teams to embed quality early.
• Communicate quality status, release risks, trade‑offs, dependencies, and blockers to stakeholders.
• Drive early QA involvement in requirement discussions, design reviews, sprint planning, and production readiness reviews.
• Champion best QA practices across automation, test coverage, regression discipline, test data management, and defect prevention.
• Build and improve automation coverage for critical business flows, APIs, UI journeys, integrations, and regression suites.
• Analyze production defects, escaped issues, and customer impact to continuously improve test coverage and release confidence.
• Validate critical trading workflows for correctness, reliability, data integrity, performance, and operational stability.

Required profile

• Strong QA fundamentals with hands‑on technical depth.
• High ownership mindset; quality ownership continues beyond product release.
• Experience leading a small QA team and mentoring engineers.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, innovative fintech environment.
• Prior experience in the trading ecosystem or with trading terminals/broker platforms is a plus.
