Quality Assurance Officer

About the role

MS Pharma, a regional pharmaceutical company developing, manufacturing and distributing generic and biosimilar medicines, is looking for a Quality Assurance Officer in Amman, Jordan. The role controls the product process and product quality and ensures accurate application of GMP rules at every step of production.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor in-process quality checks during production and packaging of powders, tablets, liquids, creams, capsules, suppositories, sampling, blistering, printing, packaging and line clearance.
• Inspect products at each production stage against AQL requirements and approve progression to the next stage.
• Ensure proper identification of rooms, materials and products and compliance with good documentation practices.
• Conduct routine GMP compliance tours in production and warehouse areas to check housekeeping, material handling and storage.
• Ensure IPC equipment and balances are calibrated on time and monitor GMP compliance during manufacturing, including line clearance, preventive maintenance, yields and reconciliation.
• Report and investigate GMP deviations, production failures and out-of-specification (OOS) results, with root cause analysis and follow-up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Review batch records before release, investigate observations, review and approve MF, PF, MI and PI, follow up on investigations and CAPAs, manage change controls and support audit preparation.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Pharmacy, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• 0-2 years' experience in a related field.
• Good written and spoken Arabic and English.
