Quality Control Officer – Cosmetics Manufacturing

About the role

The company operates an ISO 22716 certified facility that produces COSMOS Organic‑certified cosmetics. Reporting to the QC Supervisor and escalating to the QA/Factory Director, the Quality Control Officer ensures raw materials, in‑process batches and finished products meet strict quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory testing of raw materials, water, in‑process samples and finished products.
• Coordinate external laboratory analyses and document results.
• Maintain accurate laboratory and quality records, including sample traceability and specifications.
• Report deviations, support production activities, and assist with weighing, manufacturing, filling, packing and cleaning after training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or related laboratory science.
• Minimum one year of experience in quality control or laboratory testing, preferably in cosmetics, pharmaceutical, personal care or FMCG.
• Strong attention to detail, reliable documentation skills and ability to flag out‑of‑specification results promptly.
• Proficient in reading and writing English technical documents.

Required skills

• Microbiological testing (aseptic sample handling, incubation, result interpretation).
• Cosmetic product testing methods such as TAMC/TYMC.
• Physical and chemical testing, including pH and viscosity measurements.
• Knowledge of GMP and sample traceability.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certifications.
