Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain robust accounting controls, and support management decision‑making through timely analysis of financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal vouchers and coordinate accounting transactions for month‑end and year‑end closures.
• Analyse financial statements, budget versus actual reports, and explain variances.
• Maintain and reconcile bank accounts, supply and equipment purchase records.
• Produce income statements, revenue analysis, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal control procedures.
• Participate in monthly/annual stock‑take committees and prepare regular financial reports for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking or a related field.
• 5–7 years of solid experience in general accounting within an international or commercial organization.
• Relevant certification such as CMA or CPA is preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English and Arabic.
