Senior Assessment Officer – Public Health (Amman)

About the role
IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a Senior Assessment Officer to lead public‑health‑focused research in the occupied Palestinian territories. Based in Amman, you will work under the Research Manager to generate evidence that guides humanitarian interventions across food security, WASH, nutrition and health.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement multi‑sectoral household assessments and displacement site mapping.
- Collect, clean, and analyse quantitative and qualitative data from field surveys.
- Produce timely reports, visualisations and briefings for donors, partners and field teams.
- Disseminate findings through presentations, webinars and written products.
- Mentor junior team members on data‑collection methods and analytical approaches.
Required profile
- Advanced degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience conducting humanitarian assessments in conflict‑affected settings.
- Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and limited resources.
- Strong written and oral communication skills for diverse audiences.
Required skills
- Advanced analytical ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Experience producing clear visualisations and presentations.
