Senior Data Engineer (ETL)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using SSIS, feeding our Microsoft SQL Server data warehouse. You will work closely with data architects and business stakeholders to ensure high‑quality, secure, and reliable data flows that support analytics and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines with SSIS to extract, transform, and load data into a Microsoft SQL Server data warehouse.
• Implement Change Data Capture (CDC) solutions using SSIS.
• Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to design data models, database schemas, and pipelines.
• Perform data validation, profiling, and quality checks to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor ETL jobs, data transfers, and loading processes, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Enforce data governance and security measures to protect sensitive information.
• Provide technical support to data analysts, data scientists, and business teams.
• Document ETL processes, data mappings, and system configurations for knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated on industry trends and recommend improvements to the data warehouse and ETL architecture.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server data warehouses and SSIS.
• Strong understanding of ETL and CDC concepts and methodologies.
• Experience with data governance principles and data security best practices.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Relevant certification in Data Engineering, preferably Azure.
