Senior External Audit – Audit & Assurance

About the role

We are looking for a Senior professional to join our Audit & Assurance practice in Jordan. The role involves leading external audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring high‑quality delivery and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust with clients by understanding their service expectations and business context.
• Plan and execute audit procedures, adapting templates and referral instructions to define scope and focus areas.
• Coordinate with on‑shore and off‑shore Centres of Excellence, providing accurate information and tracking deliverables from component auditors.
• Link risks, controls, procedures and findings across audit files and ensure timely documentation.
• Articulate and monitor audit quality milestones, preparing documentation that anticipates reviewer questions.
• Develop relationships beyond the finance function to gain deeper insight into client operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in external audit, preferably within a Big‑Four environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory impact, risk management and audit methodology.
• Ability to challenge audit timing and propose efficient execution plans.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and local Jordanian audit regulations.
• Proficiency in audit documentation tools and Microsoft Office suite.
