Shift Lead (Electrical) – MV/HV Distribution – Jordan

About the role

Versar Global Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Lead to support AFCAP power generation facilities in Jordan. Reporting to the Power Plant Supervisor, you will oversee MV/HV distribution systems, ensure reliable operation, and lead a team in routine and emergency maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hands‑on inspection, preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs on MV distribution systems (4160 V, 11 kV, 13 kV).
• Maintain and operate paralleling and main medium‑voltage switchgear with SCADA and PLC control, including remote monitoring and metering.
• Inspect operational activities for safety, enforce OSHA and NFPA compliance, and conduct daily safety meetings.
• Respond to emergency calls, diagnose equipment failures, and execute corrective actions.
• Maintain technical documentation, record‑keeping, and department communications.
• Manage custodial responsibilities for tools, work area, and equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience with MV/HV electrical distribution systems and power plant environments.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and local electrical codes (NEC).
• Ability to lead a team, conduct safety briefings, and ensure compliance.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
