Solution Engineer Manager – Borders

About the role

You will join SITA’s Border Management Architecture team, providing consulting and hands‑on support to product and delivery teams. The role spans the full solution lifecycle, from sales qualification through design, development and transition, delivering innovative solutions for government, immigration, customs and security customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and coordinate development of standard and complex solutions, selecting third‑party vendors where required.
• Support account teams during pre‑contract phases, delivering technical designs for RFIs, RFPs and competitive dialogues.
• Provide technical qualification, own technical sections of proposals and manage technical risk, compliance and feasibility for large‑scale border programs.
• Translate customer requirements into solution architectures using AI/ML, biometrics matching and identity‑management technologies.
• Offer hands‑on assistance to product and project delivery teams throughout implementation and transition.

Required profile

• Proven experience in solution architecture and engineering for mission‑critical government or border‑management projects.
• Strong consulting mindset with the ability to guide product and delivery teams.
• Experience navigating long‑cycle procurement processes (RFIs, RFPs, competitive dialogue).
• Ability to assess technical risk, compliance and feasibility for large‑scale programs.
