Solution Engineer Manager – Connectivity, Cybersecurity, Wireless & Voice

About the role

SITA, which works with airports, airlines and governments worldwide, is looking for a Solution Engineer Manager to join its Value Added Solutions team. Reporting to the Product Portfolio Manager, you will shape technology planning, strategy and design choices for cybersecurity, wireless and voice-related opportunities, turning customer business needs into scalable technical solutions. You will guide proposals, implementation and deployment of new or existing product developments.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical aspects of connectivity proposals submitted to customers, based on deep knowledge of cybersecurity (NGFW, SSE, Zero Trust), wireless (mobile data, mobile Wi-Fi/portable hotspots, LEO satellites) and voice (SIP trunking, cloud UC, CCaaS, AI-enabled communication).
• Design and coordinate standard and complex connectivity solutions, including selecting third-party vendors, and promote SITA's products through customer meetings and workshops.
• Ensure designs are implemented right first time and are operationally supportable.
• Lead, mentor and coach staff, and organise technical training and certification on the selected products and technologies.
• Support account teams and competency centres during pre-contract phases with technical designs and advice, and take part in technical account strategies with the sales team.

Required profile

• 5-8 years of experience in IT, telecom or air transport technology in pre-sales, technical design and architect roles.
• Bachelor-level technical degree or equivalent experience in computer engineering technologies.
• At least one technical certification (Cisco, Microsoft, Palo Alto, Fortinet); Cisco CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, Microsoft or Palo Alto professional/specialist certifications are a plus.
• Proven track record of producing, communicating and documenting successful technical customer solutions.

• Mobile operators' data connectivity (local or roaming)
• Cradlepoint, Celerway or similar; Starlink or similar
• Cybersecurity: NGFW, SSE, Zero Trust; Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Checkpoint
• UC, CC and corporate communication tools such as Cisco Webex, MS Teams, Genesys CC
• Requirements analysis, system integration, technical writing and documentation
