Team Leader – Jordan Growth and Prosperity Programme

About the role

The Team Leader will provide overall strategic leadership for the Jordan Growth and Prosperity (JGAP) programme, a UK‑FCDO funded initiative aimed at strengthening Jordan’s economic resilience and fostering private‑sector‑led, job‑rich growth. Reporting to the Programme Director, the role bridges macro‑economic reform with market‑systems interventions, acting as the principal liaison with the FCDO and Government of Jordan.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the programme at senior level with the FCDO, Government of Jordan and consortium partners.
• Define and steer the strategic direction for both macro‑level fiscal stability work and micro‑level market‑systems development.
• Translate policy priorities into concrete implementation plans and measurable outcomes.
• Manage a multidisciplinary team and coordinate activities across consortium partners.
• Navigate complex institutional environments, remove delivery constraints and ensure timely, visible results.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in government reform, economic development or private‑sector development programmes.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage donor‑government relationships.
• Strong understanding of macro‑economic policy, debt management and market‑systems approaches.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
