Technician Kitchen & Laundry

About the role

The Technician Kitchen & Laundry supports guest satisfaction by maintaining all kitchen, laundry and related facilities in a JW Marriott hotel. You will respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests, communicate solutions, and document daily activities for shift hand‑over.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication and visual inspections on kitchen, laundry, mechanical room and building equipment.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities; use lockout/tagout procedures before work.
• Carry out minor repairs: painting, drywall, wood trim, light bulb and filter replacement, plumbing unclogs, electrical switch and outlet replacements, TV programming and general housekeeping inventory duties.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and record all work performed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, painting and basic hotel engineering tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb unassisted and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and reaching overhead.
• Driver’s licence and basic computer skills for entering schedules and temperature changes.
