Accountant – Full-Time in Amman

About the role

PODIUM Architects is looking for a qualified and detail‑oriented Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting operations and keep financial records accurate and well‑organized. The role is based in Amman, Jordan, and offers the chance to work within an architecture and engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
• Prepare bank reconciliations, expense records, and related documentation.
• Monitor company expenses, ensuring proper supporting documentation and approvals.
• Assist with monthly closing, financial reporting, and payroll record‑keeping.
• Coordinate with management, suppliers, clients, and internal departments on financial matters.
• Maintain organized filing of accounting documents.
• Support tax, social security, and other statutory requirements in collaboration with relevant parties.
• Provide basic financial analysis and information to management when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Previous experience in an architecture or engineering firm is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
