About the role
The Accounting Assistant will support the finance department of a foundation, handling day‑to‑day accounting and administrative tasks to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing and copying.
- Maintain electronic and hard‑copy filing systems.
- Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence.
- Perform data entry and scan documents.
- Assist in resolving administrative problems.
- Run department tasks to the post office and office supply store.
- Prepare and modify documents such as correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails.
- Maintain office supplies for the department.
- Prepare bank transfers.
- Review, audit and archive agreements with continuous follow‑up.
- Assist in monthly and year‑end stocktaking.
- Prepare administration and bank letters.
- Support the monthly closing process.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- Strong written and spoken English and Arabic.
- 0‑2 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Deadline‑oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with computerized document/data management systems.
- High level of computer literacy.
