Assistant Finance Manager

About the role

Equiti is seeking a detail‑oriented Assistant Finance Manager to join its Finance team in Amman. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong financial controls across UAE entities, supporting the company’s multi‑asset fintech operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments, reconciliations and schedule preparation.
• Prepare management packs, perform variance analysis and provide commentary for senior leadership.
• Validate trading‑related data across platforms such as CDP SQL, MT4/MT5 and SAP S/4HANA, ensuring data integrity for regulatory filings, VAT and management reporting.
• Coordinate external audits and quarterly reviews, address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit regulator‑required filings, VAT returns and corporate tax returns, ensuring full compliance.
• Participate in SAP S/4HANA enhancements, process automation and system upgrades, supporting integration of brokerage and non‑brokerage systems.
• Produce financial analysis and reports for the Executive Committee, Risk, Group Finance and regulators, highlighting financial risks and control gaps.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail with a solid understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Hands‑on experience with month‑end close, audit coordination and regulatory submissions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Finance, Risk, Operations, HR and Data teams.
• Excellent analytical skills and proactive approach to identifying financial risks.
