Backend Developer – Server‑Side Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain the server‑side logic of our applications. You will ensure high performance, scalability, and security while collaborating with front‑end teams and third‑party services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain back‑end services, APIs, and databases.
• Build scalable systems that handle high volumes of requests and data.
• Implement security and data‑protection best practices.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers and stakeholders to integrate user‑facing elements.
• Manage database schemas, queries, and migrations.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Participate in code reviews, system architecture discussions, and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Backend Developer or Software Engineer.
• Proficiency in at least one back‑end language/framework (e.g., Node.js/Express, Python/Django/Flask/FastAPI, Java/Spring Boot, Ruby on Rails).
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs or GraphQL.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of system design, scalability, and security principles.
• Comfort with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
