Business Development Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a results‑driven Business Development Engineer to join our interior design and fit‑out firm. Leveraging a civil engineering background, you will assess project feasibility, estimate civil scopes and secure high‑value contracts while expanding our client base.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new clients and strategic partners such as developers, contractors and facility managers.
• Lead meetings and presentations to showcase our design and fit‑out capabilities.
• Track tenders, RFPs and pre‑qualifications; prepare commercial quotations and technical proposals.
• Negotiate pricing, contract terms and timelines; drive deals to signing.
• Provide technical advisory on structural feasibility and assess site conditions to flag hidden civil costs.
• Coordinate with design and estimating teams to ensure accurate proposals and smooth handover to project management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• 3–5 years of business development, sales or estimating experience in fit‑out, interior design or general contracting.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to build a pipeline of office, retail, hospitality and medical projects.

Required skills

• Civil engineering and structural knowledge.
• Finishing materials, drywall partitions and false ceiling systems.
• MEP coordination basics.
• Understanding of basic structural works and site assessment.
