Business Development Officer – Partnerships & Proposals

About the role

Arab Therapy is seeking a motivated Business Development Officer to create and manage partnerships with NGOs, INGOs, donors, foundations, and development organisations. The role blends market research, relationship building, and full‑cycle proposal management to secure funding and collaborative projects.

Key responsibilities

• Research, identify and evaluate tenders, grants, RFPs and donor opportunities for strategic fit and value.
• Conduct market and donor research to uncover potential partners and funding priorities.
• Proactively approach decision‑makers, build relationships and hold discovery meetings.
• Manage the end‑to‑end business development process from outreach to proposal submission and partnership closure.
• Coordinate with internal teams to gather technical, financial and operational data for tailored proposals, concept notes and presentations.
• Ensure all submissions comply with donor requirements, formats, eligibility criteria and deadlines.
• Maintain an accurate pipeline and tracker of opportunities, deadlines and outcomes.
• Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude for research, analysis and proposal drafting.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in business development, partnerships, grants or fundraising.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Relations, Development Studies, Communications or related field (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Excellent research, coordination, organization and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines.
