Chef de Cuisine

About the role

The Chef de Cuisine is accountable for the quality, consistency and overall production of the restaurant kitchen in Amman. You will lead the culinary team, manage food‑related functions and ensure guest satisfaction while adhering to the operating budget.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain culinary standards, food safety and sanitation across all kitchen operations.
• Supervise shift operations, ensuring compliance with Food & Beverage policies.
• Develop, design and execute daily and seasonal menu items.
• Plan and manage food quantities, plating requirements and decorative displays.
• Oversee purchasing, inventory control and proper storage of ingredients.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and productivity.
• Monitor budget, control costs and contribute to guest and employee satisfaction.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of culinary experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel & Restaurant Management (or related) with at least 2 years of experience.
• Proven ability to lead a kitchen team and manage day‑to‑day operations.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
