Civil Engineer / Project Manager – Healthcare Construction

About the role

JAH Healthcare is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer with strong project management expertise to lead the construction and infrastructure delivery of the Yasmeen Medical Complex in Amman. The role will oversee the project from detailed planning through to hand‑over, ensuring the facility meets healthcare standards, stays on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day civil engineering and construction activities for the Yasmeen Medical Complex.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and resource plans using MS Project or Primavera.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP contractors and healthcare specialists.
• Ensure compliance with Jordanian building codes, healthcare regulations and international best practices.
• Handle tendering, bid evaluation, contract administration and relationships with contractors and subcontractors.
• Review change orders and invoices, verifying scope, quantities and costs before payment approval.
• Monitor site quality control, safety standards and progress reporting.
• Liaise with local project management, reporting milestones, risks and budget variances.
• Support financing and advisory stakeholders on construction‑related deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 7–10 years of civil engineering experience, including 3–5 years in project management.
• Proven experience on healthcare or hospital construction projects.
• Familiarity with Jordanian construction regulations and permitting.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• PMP certification is a plus.

• Technical drawing review and interpretation.
• Strong contractor and vendor management.
