Commercial Manager

About the role

The Commercial Manager will lead commercial performance and customer development for Noatum Ports Jordan’s terminal operations in Aqaba. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures that commercial activities are tightly aligned with operational capabilities and the overall business strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial plans that support business objectives.
• Manage key customer relationships and strategic accounts, ensuring high satisfaction and profitability.
• Identify new revenue streams and business development opportunities within the port and logistics market.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and trade flows to inform strategy.
• Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and business cases for customers and partners.
• Support negotiations with customers and strategic partners, driving favorable terms.
• Track customer profitability and overall commercial performance against KPIs.
• Collaborate closely with Operations to guarantee delivery of customer requirements.
• Develop and execute customer retention and growth strategies.
• Provide regular commercial intelligence and recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Logistics or a related field.
• 8‑10+ years of commercial or business development experience.
• Strong background in ports, terminals, shipping, logistics or transportation is highly preferred.
• Proven track record managing major customers and leading commercial negotiations.
• Deep understanding of regional logistics and maritime markets.
