Computer Vision Engineer (AI & Automation)

About the role

We are seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to join our team in Amman. You will work on security and automation use cases within the PICARS platform, applying AI and computer vision to create real‑time monitoring solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise computer‑vision algorithms for object detection, tracking and pattern recognition.
• Process video and image data and integrate models into production‑ready systems.
• Collaborate with software and hardware teams to deploy AI models.
• Validate model performance on real‑world data and refine for accuracy and efficiency.
• Document technical work and translate product requirements into robust solutions.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in computer vision and pattern recognition applied to real‑world datasets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in computer vision or deep learning.
• At least two completed computer‑vision projects (professional, academic, freelance or open‑source).
• Proficient Python programming.
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with OpenCV.
• Understanding of deep‑learning fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Git and Linux environments.
