Controller I – Finance & Accounting

About the role

The Controller I will act as the strategic financial leader for the property, supporting the brand’s service strategy and driving profitable performance. Reporting to senior management, the role combines financial planning, analysis, and control to ensure accurate accounting and optimal return on investment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain annual budget plans, forecasting sales, expenses and wages.
• Analyse financial data and market trends to identify profit‑enhancing opportunities.
• Monitor actual performance against budget, preparing variance reports and recommendations.
• Implement and oversee internal controls to safeguard assets and improve operational efficiency.
• Lead the accounting team, assigning responsibilities, ensuring accountability and fostering sound decision‑making.
• Prepare timely financial statements, profit and loss reports, and other required disclosures.
• Support property strategy by providing financial insights and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in the same disciplines (no experience required).
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and market trends.
• Excellent communication skills to convey strategic goals and financial information to stakeholders.
• Integrity and a commitment to maintaining a robust control environment.
