Data Center - Infrastructure Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Manager to lead the operation and evolution of Arab Bank’s IT data centre. The role ensures the facility delivers optimal performance, reliability and security while supporting the bank’s growth and digital initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day management and maintenance of the data centre infrastructure, guaranteeing high availability.
• Develop and execute strategies for capacity expansion, upgrades and optimisation aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements and security protocols.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to match infrastructure capabilities with IT strategy and business needs.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate a team of IT professionals.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts and oversee procurement of equipment and services.
• Monitor performance metrics, implement efficiency improvements and minimise downtime.
• Prepare and control the budget for data centre operations, ensuring cost‑effective delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (Master’s degree or certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CDCP preferred).
• 8‑10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with 3‑5 years in a leadership role within a data centre environment.
• Strong leadership, team‑management and communication skills.
• Proven problem‑solving and strategic planning abilities.
• Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
• Deep understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
