Data Governance Manager

About the role

Capital Bank of Jordan is seeking a Data Governance Manager to define and lead the bank’s data governance roadmap. The role provides strategic and operational leadership, ensuring data is managed as a valuable asset across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and align a comprehensive data governance roadmap for the bank.
• Establish and maintain a data management strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Monitor data governance components such as quality and security, working with relevant teams.
• Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and standards across the bank.
• Define data quality rules, monitoring standards, issue handling, and remediation plans.
• Create and maintain an enterprise‑wide data dictionary with detailed business and technical metadata.
• Design and implement data lineage using appropriate tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance or related fields.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification from DAMA is a plus.
