Dining Facility Manager / Assistant Site Manager

About the role

The Dining Facility Manager/Assistant Site Manager (ASM) oversees all food service operations at the site, ensuring compliance with performance standards and safety regulations. Reporting to the Site Manager, this role directs both internal staff and subcontractors to deliver high‑quality meals and maintain a safe, sanitary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the dining facility, including cooking, food preparation, baking, serving, and replenishment.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure their performance meets the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain strict adherence to the Tri‑Service Food Code, HACCP controls, and all safety policies.
• Coordinate menu planning with the Government Food Service Advisor and post daily/weekly menus.
• Oversee equipment accountability, serviceability, and inventory control.
• Ensure accurate time reporting, timesheet completion, and assist with CDRL report quality control.
• Perform escort duties and other assigned tasks as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Experience supervising food service operations, preferably in a military or government setting.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and enforce compliance with contractual requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for record‑keeping and reporting.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Tri‑Service Food Code.
• Proficiency in HACCP food safety controls.
• Food service management and DFAC (Dining Facility) operations.
