Directing & Production Planning Instructor

About the role

PG Academy is looking for an experienced Directing & Production Planning Instructor to join its Pre‑Production faculty on a part‑time, on‑site basis in Amman. The role involves guiding students from concept and storyboard through to a complete, executable production plan across film, animation, advertising and other creative media.

Key responsibilities

• Teach fundamentals of directing, including vision, treatment, shot design and shot lists.
• Instruct on production workflow, casting, crew planning, location scouting and scheduling.
• Cover budgeting basics, art direction coordination and production documentation.
• Introduce AI‑assisted production planning and visualization techniques.
• Mentor students in creative decision‑making and real‑world production processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a director, producer, assistant director, production manager or similar.
• Hands‑on experience with films, commercials, television, branded content or digital productions.
• Portfolio of real production documents such as treatments, schedules, shot lists, budgets and call sheets.
• Strong grasp of both creative directing and production execution.
• Leadership and mentoring abilities.

Required skills

• AI‑assisted production planning and visualization (preferred).
