Educational Planner – Class Formation & Automation

About the role

UNRWA is seeking an experienced Educational Planner to lead the 2026/2027 class formation cycle, assess the progress of automation tools, and design a roadmap for fully institutionalising the process. The role is remote and will be carried out under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director of Education Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Review existing class formation methodologies, standards, and planning parameters across all UNRWA fields.
• Consult with HQ and field education planning staff to capture lessons learned from the previous cycle.
• Analyse enrolment projections, staffing ratios, and space‑utilisation data to draft the 2026/2027 Class Formation Guidelines/Framework.
• Produce draft class section tables, staffing allocation models, and planning assumptions for stakeholder review.
• Conduct a technical assessment of current automation tools, identify gaps, risks, and constraints, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Deliver a final report with an executive summary, agreed next steps, and a time‑bound roadmap for completing and institutionalising the automated workflow.

Required profile

• Proven experience in education planning, class formation, or related operational roles.
• Familiarity with UNRWA’s education context or large‑scale refugee education programmes is an advantage.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience producing technical reports and guidelines.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
