Electrical Engineer - Design Office

About the role

The Electrical Engineer will support the delivery of electrical building services designs across mixed‑use, hospitality, residential, commercial, healthcare and infrastructure projects. You will develop calculations, design drawings and technical reports while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality, code‑compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems from concept through detailed design.
• Prepare calculations such as load schedules, voltage drop, short‑circuit, lighting and cable sizing.
• Develop power, lighting, emergency power, earthing, lightning protection and low‑current system designs.
• Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, AV/IT and security disciplines.
• Create and update drawings using Revit and AutoCAD, and participate in BIM coordination and clash‑resolution workshops.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, Saudi codes, international standards and client specifications.
• Support preparation of technical reports, design narratives, BOQs and specifications.
• Attend internal coordination meetings, contribute to design reviews and assist with site visits, RFIs and construction support.
• Follow QA/QC procedures and maintain project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2‑6 years of experience in electrical building services design, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Experience on GCC/Middle‑East projects is an advantage.
• Strong technical aptitude, good communication skills and a problem‑solving mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and commit to quality.
