Engineer - Wet Utilities

About the role

Egis is seeking a motivated Engineer to join its Infrastructure team. You will contribute to the design and implementation of wet utility systems across a variety of projects, working closely with senior engineers to ensure technical excellence and successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and implementation of wet utilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Prepare drawings and documentation under the guidance of the associate and project lead.
• Collaborate with project teams, including associates, project leads, and technicians, to achieve project objectives.
• Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices, integrating them into project work.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of technical processes.
• Develop and assess surface water drainage systems for efficient storm‑water management and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modeling to support design decisions and evaluate drainage impacts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in wet utilities.
• Experience designing potable water, sewer, storm, irrigation, district cooling, and firefighting systems.
• Working knowledge of software such as HEC HMS, HEC RAS, EPANET, WaterCAD, InfoWorks, SewerCAD, StormCAD, and SWMM.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, MicroStation, MicroDrainage, and HAMMER is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
