Engineering Coordinator

About the role

The Engineering Coordinator supports Marriott’s facilities operations by liaising with multiple departments to address maintenance requests, schedule repairs, and ensure safe, efficient building services. This full‑time position is based in Amman and plays a key part in maintaining the high standards expected in a hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance requests and schedule repairs with relevant departments using telecommunications devices.
• Manage major system shutdowns, repairs, and improvements to minimize guest impact.
• Maintain purchase order logs, verify packing slips, and ensure accurate filing upon payment.
• Follow all company safety, security, and environmental policies; report hazards and incidents.
• Provide courteous guest service, assist individuals with disabilities, and uphold professional appearance standards.
• Prepare and review written communications, answer phones with proper etiquette, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Inspect tools and equipment visually, perform light manual handling, and enter work‑related data using computer systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience in facilities or engineering coordination.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.
• Experience with point‑of‑sale (POS) system operation.
• Familiarity with telecommunications devices for internal communication.
• Purchase order processing and record‑keeping.
