Extended Term Consultant

About the role

The World Bank is seeking an Extended Term Consultant to support its MENA Education Unit in Amman, Jordan. The consultant will contribute to the design, analysis, and delivery of education programs that address quality, equity, and relevance challenges across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and analytical support for education policy and program design in MENA countries.
• Develop and review research reports, policy briefs, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with regional teams, government partners, and donors to ensure alignment with the MENA Human Capital Plan.
• Assist in monitoring and evaluating education interventions and their impact on human development outcomes.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing through workshops, webinars, and stakeholder meetings.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Education, Development Studies, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in education policy, program implementation, or research, preferably in the MENA region.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, multi‑stakeholder environment.
