Formulator (2-year temporary position)

About the role

Cargill is seeking a Formulator for a two‑year fixed‑term assignment within its specialized portfolio enterprise, supporting animal nutrition, bio‑industrial and related businesses. The role involves using formulation software to develop product formulas, balancing technical constraints, cost, and raw‑material availability while ensuring compliance with all specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct continuous‑improvement projects to enhance factory operations.
• Maintain a safe workplace and promote proper safety behavior.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to achieve efficient production and high customer delivery.
• Update formulation software with raw‑material data, retrieve information from relevant sources, and generate reports.
• Perform daily maintenance of formulas to meet plant and customer requirements.
• Ensure products are manufactured in accordance with applicable specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Create product labels and verify legislative compliance for both products and labels.
• Independently resolve moderately complex issues, escalating when necessary.
• Support the production plant with bill‑of‑material data, labeling, and product documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Science).
• Minimum five years of relevant experience.
• Excellent English and Arabic language skills.
• Preferred: Master’s degree or additional post‑secondary qualification.
• Experience in nutrition or feed production.
• Familiarity with formulation software and ERP systems.
• Basic knowledge of applicable standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Understanding of raw‑material characteristics and biological aspects.
