General Accountant

About the role

The Finance & Digital Transformation team is looking for a General Accountant to manage the full accounting cycle at the branch level. You will work with Odoo as the system of record, handling daily sales, inventory, payables, payroll, month‑end close, and tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and reconcile daily POS sales, bank deposits and Odoo entries across all branches.
• Manage petty cash, cash tills and delivery‑aggregator settlements.
• Record supplier invoices, perform 3‑way matching and schedule payments.
• Handle catering and corporate invoicing, collections and AR aging.
• Reconcile Odoo stock valuation with physical counts, monitor COGS and food‑cost ratios.
• Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Process payroll via KayanHR/Odoo integration, including social security and tax deductions.
• Execute month‑end close activities: journal entries, inter‑branch reconciliations, trial‑balance review and support management reporting.
• Maintain the fixed‑assets register, calculate depreciation and support external audit.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–5 years of hands‑on accounting experience, preferably in F&B or multi‑branch retail.
• Strong knowledge of double‑entry accounting and Jordanian tax and social security regulations.
• Native Arabic speaker with good working English.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Odoo (or other ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, complex formulas).
• Experience with payroll processing using KayanHR/Odoo integration.
