Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor leads the housekeeping team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and order throughout the hotel. This role ensures guest areas, rooms and back‑of‑house facilities are spotless, safe and ready for service.

Key responsibilities

• Train, supervise and schedule a team of housekeeping staff.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and service zones to verify compliance with cleanliness standards.
• Coordinate with the maintenance department to report and follow up on repairs.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies, place orders and control stock levels.
• Respond promptly to guest complaints and requests related to housekeeping.
• Implement and enforce health‑and‑safety regulations and cleaning procedures.
• Develop and maintain daily, weekly and seasonal cleaning schedules.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods.
• Leadership, organizational and communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and effective problem‑solving skills.
• Relevant certification in housekeeping or a related field is a plus.
