Implementation Engineer II – Managed Network Operations

About the role

The Implementation Engineer II joins Estarta’s Managed Network Operations team to help customers migrate to our SD‑WAN and firewall platform. You will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to deliver, configure, and troubleshoot network solutions for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and migrate customer SD‑WAN, firewall, and networking solutions under senior guidance.
• Configure and troubleshoot IP addressing, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, routing, and basic QoS.
• Collaborate with project managers to meet milestones and document network configurations.
• Provide technical assistance during onboarding and handle escalations, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation to support customer implementations.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of professional networking experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Team‑player attitude with a willingness to learn from senior engineers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).

Required skills

• IPv4 fundamentals, subnetting, and basic routing (OSPF/BGP exposure a plus).
• VPN (IPSec), NAT, VLANs, and basic QoS concepts.
• Firewall rule configuration and troubleshooting (any vendor).
• Hands‑on experience with at least one: Fortinet FortiGate (including SD‑WAN), Arista VeloCloud, Cisco Meraki.
• Network troubleshooting tools: ping, traceroute, packet capture.
• DHCP, DNS, basic switching concepts.
• Network monitoring tools (SNMP, syslog) and ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of WAN/LAN technologies (Ethernet, MPLS, broadband) and protocols such as HSRP, spanning‑tree, LACP.
• Familiarity with enterprise firewalls (Fortinet, Meraki, Check Point, Palo Alto).
• Entry‑level certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Fortinet NSE 4) preferred.
