Information Management Consultant

About the role

The Information Management Consultant will support UNRWA's Infrastructure and Camp Improvement Programme (ICIP) by reviewing, strengthening, and harmonising its information management systems, tools, datasets and reporting workflows. Working from the UNRWA headquarters in Amman, the consultant will enhance data quality, standardisation and decision‑support across headquarters and field offices.

Key responsibilities

• Assess existing information management systems, tools and reporting workflows and provide practical recommendations for standardisation and interoperability.
• Support the harmonisation of tools, templates and datasets across ICIP functions to reduce duplication and improve usability.
• Contribute technical feedback to the development of UNRWA’s geo‑spatial portal, ensuring alignment with operational requirements.
• Improve data structures, reporting tools and analytical workflows to enhance data quality and consistency.
• Develop and refine information products such as dashboards, maps, reporting templates and analytical outputs.
• Provide FMIS‑related reporting support, consolidating and validating data from field offices.
• Promote data standards, documentation practices and quality‑assurance measures.
• Coordinate with headquarters departments, field offices and technical focal points to streamline reporting flows and clarify roles.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in information management, data analysis and reporting within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Director, Infrastructure and Camp Improvement Programme.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to data quality.
