Information Technology Support Specialist

About the role

The Information Technology Support Specialist ensures the smooth operation of Transmed’s IT services and systems. The role provides first‑line and escalated technical support to internal employees while also supporting services delivered to customers and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact for IT, handling help‑desk tickets, service requests, and incidents according to defined SLAs.
• Install, update, and configure software applications and operating systems, ensuring license compliance.
• Manage and maintain IT assets such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network equipment.
• Enforce security best practices, including data backup, antivirus protection, and access‑control management.
• Create, modify, and disable user accounts and manage permissions.
• Assist with network configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Provide remote support to off‑site employees and document procedures, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
• Monitor system performance, generate reports, and proactively address issues to minimize downtime.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support or services.
• Strong background in managing IT assets, software licensing, and security practices.
• Flexibility to work after‑hours or on days off for critical incidents or important projects.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional business and IT teams.
