Internal Controls & Assurance Trainee

About the role

This trainee position supports the Internal Controls & Assurance (IC&A) team within Corporate Finance. You will assist in testing controls and processes across the Hikma group, helping to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the full financial assurance cycle, including testing the effectiveness of processes and controls.
• Prepare IC&A reports after testing activities are completed.
• Conduct follow‑up testing on prior internal audit and IC&A findings.
• Support the design of controls and respond to design‑related queries.
• Test systems, verify completeness of files, and organise testing documentation.
• Validate newly implemented systems.
• Provide assistance to senior team members and management on various IC&A tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a closely related field.
• Fresh graduate or up to one year of experience in external or internal audit.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and demonstrate tenacity and ethics.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Visio.
