IT Demand Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Demand Manager to lead the end‑to‑end demand management process. You will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring that demand is captured, prioritized, and aligned with our strategic objectives and technology capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the IT demand intake process, capturing, evaluating, and processing requests efficiently.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document requirements for IT initiatives.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate the demand pipeline, roadmap, and backlog.
• Facilitate prioritisation sessions with business and IT leaders to align initiatives with strategy, capacity, and value.
• Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, application, and delivery teams to assess feasibility, effort, resources, and timelines.
• Monitor the backlog and ensure timely progression through governance and approval processes.
• Prepare dashboards, reports, and metrics to provide visibility into demand status and portfolio health.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture principles, IT governance policies, and organisational standards.
• Support investment planning and portfolio decisions through business case analysis and value assessments.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements to demand management processes, tools, and governance.
• Work closely with the PMO, project managers, and delivery teams to transition approved demand into project execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT Demand Management, IT Portfolio Management, Business Analysis or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of IT governance, project portfolio management and demand management best practices.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Experience facilitating workshops and prioritisation sessions.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Experience with demand‑management, PPM or ITSM platforms (advantage).
