Junior Sous Chef – Culinary Team

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team at a luxury hotel in Amman. You will support the kitchen’s daily operations, ensure high‑quality food presentation, and help maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen staff.
• Determine food presentation, create decorative displays, and ensure proper portioning and garnish.
• Monitor food preparation quantities and inform service staff of menu specials or out‑of‑stock items.
• Prepare special meals or substitute items as needed.
• Assist cooks with various tasks and provide necessary supplies.
• Track kitchen inventory, monitor stock levels, and maintain food safety logs.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching employees.
• Follow all company safety, security, and uniform policies.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
• 4‑6 years of relevant culinary experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a kitchen environment.
• No specific license or certification required.
