Laundry Attendant (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for operating and monitoring commercial washing, dry‑cleaning and drying equipment at a hotel facility. The role ensures that all linens and garments are cleaned, inspected, folded and stored according to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate washing, dry‑cleaning and drying machines, adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and decide on repair, rewash, spot‑treatment or discard.
• Inspect cleaned articles, place them in linen carts, and set dryer times/temperatures based on fabric type.
• Remove lint, debris and filter residues after each load.
• Fold cleaned items by hand or using a folding machine to designated sizes.
• Maintain accurate records of all laundered items.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies; report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and protect confidential information.
• Support team goals, inspect equipment for defects, and suggest efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• No high‑school diploma or GED required.
• No prior laundry or related work experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for an entire shift.
• Capable of lifting, carrying or moving objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
• Comfortable working in narrow, confined or elevated spaces and on uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Willingness to follow company policies, safety procedures and confidentiality guidelines.
