Laundry Attendant

About the role

The Laundry Attendant ensures that all hotel linens, garments and guest items are cleaned, dried and presented to the highest standards of hygiene and appearance. Working in Marriott International’s laundry facility in Amman, you will play a key part in supporting the overall guest experience through efficient and reliable laundry services.

Key responsibilities

• Operate washing, dry‑cleaning and drying machines, adding appropriate chemicals and monitoring cycles.
• Inspect items for stains or damage and decide on re‑wash, spot‑treatment, repair or disposal.
• Remove lint, debris and clean filters, lint traps and drain traps after each load.
• Set dryer times and temperatures according to fabric type and load size.
• Fold and sort cleaned articles by size, using hand‑folding or folding machines.
• Maintain accurate records of all items processed.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting any incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift items up to 25 lb without assistance.
• Willingness to work in a fast‑paced environment and follow detailed procedures.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, professional appearance and respecting confidentiality.
