Laundry Washer

About the role

The Laundry Washer joins the housekeeping and laundry team of a leading international hotel brand. You will be responsible for processing guest and hotel linens, ensuring they are cleaned, treated, and returned to service efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Remove and separate soiled laundry from chutes or housekeeping carts.
• Operate and monitor washing, dry‑cleaning, and drying machinery according to company standards.
• Apply appropriate stain‑treatment based on fabric type and stain characteristics.
• Maintain accurate records of loads, weight, and dry‑cleaning poundage.
• Transport washed items to dryers, load them correctly, and manage dryer cycles.
• Clean lint screens, dry‑cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
• Monitor chemical levels, dispense as required, and report any pump issues.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting hazards or incidents promptly.

Required profile

• No formal education requirement; high school diploma or GED not mandatory.
• No prior laundry or related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift and move items up to 25 lb without assistance.
• Willingness to work in confined or elevated spaces and navigate uneven surfaces.

Required skills

• Operation of industrial washing machines.
• Handling of dry‑cleaning equipment.
• Chemical dispensing and monitoring.
