Lead Infrastructure Engineer (Data Centre)

About the role

SITA is looking for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to own the full lifecycle of data‑centre and cloud infrastructure services. You will define standards, policies and processes that align with business needs while ensuring security, performance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support scalable, secure infrastructure systems on‑premises and in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Validate that solutions meet technical, functional and regulatory requirements.
• Lead integration of infrastructure with internal applications and external airline/travel platforms.
• Act as technical lead on high‑impact projects, guiding design, build and deployment phases.
• Ensure solutions are future‑proof, scalable and aligned with long‑term architecture.
• Manage end‑to‑end infrastructure setup from planning through deployment.
• Conduct validation and testing to guarantee stability, performance and SLA compliance.
• Troubleshoot complex issues during development, deployment and operations.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to improve deployment processes and delivery planning.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure deployment, systems engineering or application support, preferably in regulated environments.
• Proven experience designing solutions for both data‑centres and public cloud platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with system architecture and configuration management.
