Medical Claims & Clinical Billing Consultant – Jordan

About the role

FAJR Global, on behalf of the MedEvac Jordan Program, is looking for a qualified Medical Claims & Clinical Billing Audit Consultant. The consultant will review and audit medical claims submitted by hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centres, pharmacies and other providers to ensure accuracy, clinical necessity and compliance with approved treatment plans.

Key responsibilities

• Review itemised medical bills and healthcare claims submitted by providers.
• Match invoices with medical reports, treatment plans, physician orders, discharge summaries, laboratory and imaging results, prescriptions and other supporting documentation.
• Assess medical necessity and clinical appropriateness of billed services.
• Identify duplicate, unsupported, excessive or incorrectly billed services.
• Compare medical charges with prevailing market rates in Jordan.
• Provide recommendations to approve, adjust, negotiate or reject claims.
• Prepare structured claims review reports and recommendations.
• Support improvements in billing review procedures and internal controls.
• Coordinate with FAJR Global’s medical, operations and finance teams for clarification.

Required profile

• Qualified consultant with strong clinical understanding and medical billing expertise.
• Experience in reviewing medical invoices and assessing clinical appropriateness.
• Familiarity with Jordanian healthcare market and donor‑funded medical programmes.
• Ability to produce clear audit reports and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
