Multi-Disciplinary Design Engineer (Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Control)

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Disciplinary Design Engineer to join Haskoning’s team supporting Arab Potash Corporation (APC) projects in Jordan. The role involves detailed design of electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and control systems for critical infrastructure in the Dead Sea area, ensuring fully coordinated and constructible solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare multidisciplinary design deliverables in line with project specifications, codes and standards.
• Develop LV/MV electrical layouts, power distribution schematics, switchgear, transformer and cable routing designs, as well as earthing and lightning protection systems.
• Create mechanical equipment layouts, including pumps, motors, compressors, valves, skids, pipework and supports, and produce general arrangement drawings.
• Design instrumentation and control layouts covering field instruments, panels, junction boxes, tubing, impulse lines and analyzer shelters, and coordinate I/O and control panel arrangements.
• Ensure clash‑free, coordinated models across all disciplines using CAD/BIM standards and participate in design, model and coordination reviews.
• Incorporate constructability, safety and maintainability considerations, and integrate feedback from engineering reviews and HAZOP studies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in detailed design of electrical, mechanical and instrumentation & control systems for industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards and best practices for LV/MV power distribution, mechanical equipment installation and I&C systems.
• Ability to produce high‑quality drawings and models that meet CAD/BIM requirements.
• Excellent coordination skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and resolve interface issues.
