Network Support Engineer

About the role

VTEL Holdings Limited is seeking a Network Support Engineer to provide first‑level technical support for its access network in Jordan. The role operates in a 24x7x365 environment, handling customer calls and resolving network‑related issues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level technical support and handle customer calls in a 24x7x365 environment.
• Capture, address, and resolve customers’ technical claims and network‑related requests.
• Maintain, configure, and support the VTEL access network, including routers and switches.
• Perform day‑to‑day network performance monitoring and update technical tickets.
• Conduct field visits when required to follow up on customer requests.
• Troubleshoot and analyse faults in the VTEL access and fiber networks.
• Plan and troubleshoot the VTEL fiber network, including GPON technologies.
• Install and configure network equipment at customer and company sites.
• Execute network maintenance, system upgrades, patches, hot‑fixes and security configurations.
• Monitor system quality indicators and ensure service reliability.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of relevant experience in IP networking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer, Electronics or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Valid driving license.
• Cisco CCNA certification preferred.

Required skills

• IP protocols, IP filtering, routing protocols, MPLS, VLANs, QinQ.
• Huawei OLT and GPON technologies.
• Routers and switches configuration and installation.
• Network performance monitoring and fault analysis.
• Fiber network planning and troubleshooting.
